I bought an Airport Security Scanner

Professor Ambrose Penwose, Kiwi

I just bought one of those airport security scanners, (You know the kind you walk through?) on Ebay. Now whenever I go anywhere I’ll know if I’m carrying any weapons or bombs.

The intent is to film a scanning previous to airline flights and advise them I’ve been Pre-Scanned, thus avoiding the long airport lines. Others are already knocking at my door to be scanned. This may not be a good thing after all?

Just ran a different kind of scan of today’s TV lineup. If you were thinking of doing the same don’t bother. All the good shows are finalized for the year and repeats repeated. The only people who benefit are little jungle natives who are new to living primitiveless.

I must write this down or I am sure to forget. I’m still trying to figure out what that string on my finger is for?
Next year, (if I remember?) I will watch no new shows during the regular season. Then when the irregular season, such as now, comes around I will have never seen them.
Good plan, however…when the new shows first air I will have nothing to do, such as now, which may lead to a reversal of plan A, putting me right back in the same spot next year, and leaving my little note, (Which I’ve decided not to write,) moot.

Actually, to be honest, I frequently do watch reruns. I find them much better than the originals.

Is the world complicated or do we complicate it?

Penwose Out,

I recently watched All in the Family and The Jeffersons. I never knew they were joined by blood. The newer version seemed more high definition than the older one. Probably because when high definition came along they did away with scanning. If that string on your finger remembers, TV used to be done by scanning the lines across the screen, creating those famous test patterns we loved to look at for hours when the TV station was off. But when it came on, those little tubes were busy running lines across the screen to make a picture and fool our eyes. Probably why I'm cross eyed and very nearsighted today. Anyway, high definition did away with all that, bringing us very crisp pictures of whatever any cell phone is picking up throughout the world making us think that it is a wild and crazy place where nothing is normal and you'd better watch out!

No more lines on my TV. No more scanning. But I'm scheduled to have a brain scan next week.

Bye, George,

Ron
