The latest murder rampages in the U.S. have once again assaulted the sensibilities of honest people everywhere. The killings are an affront to our moral code, to our honor, and to our sense of justice. Innocent men, women, and children have paid the ultimate price without a chance of undoing the wrongs inflicted upon them. It is now time for us to fix this problem.
Although we know that life has many unsettled issues arising from nature or from cosmic forces, we are smart enough to solve this unacceptable human behavior and bring it under our control. Mass killings of innocent people are not the acts of God. They are the consequences of fear, hate, and cowardice conceived in the hearts and the minds of tyrants, and carried out by their weak followers. The intervening chain of causation is easy enough to trace by working backwards from the carnage to the source.
Guns and bullets kill, but they cannot think. Sick and brain-washed minds can load guns and discharge them into crowds without understanding or caring about the harm that follows their actions. Brain-washed minds are the putty for cult leaders. Brain-washed minds cannot think for themselves. Propaganda is the mind-shaping tool of cult leaders that saturates weak minds. It carries lies and half-truths told again and again with little behind them but half-baked slogans, carried by superficial tweets, delivered at pep rallies and through their media sources. Repetition strengthens their message. Cult-like ideologies are the special province of the ultra-wealthy operating through select elements of the mass media consisting of a network of radio, television, and cyber space. A close ally of both cult leaders and the ultra-wealthy are assault weapons manufacturers and dealers. The wealthy and the assault weapons groups are also primary funders of a select group of politicians who make the laws that give the money suppliers their legal framework. It is a circle of conspiracy, the consequences of which are shared logically, morally, and spiritually by the money funders, the gun makers, the politicians, and the cult leaders.
Break the chain at any link and the carnage will stop. Expose the chain to the light of truth, and It will shrivel up and die. That is my objective. It is your objective. There is no space, or time, or accommodation for those who run and hide behind barriers of silence. Those who can but will not help to solve this issue are conspirators in its perpetuation.
Actions that everyone can take are: Support and vote for candidates to office who speak against mass murders; do not support those who will take no action. Do not buy the products of those wealthy few who actively support candidates who will take no action to solve this issue. Tune out and disconnect from news sources that propagate lies about this issue. Knowledge is the foundation to truth; education is the pathway to knowledge. Support education at all levels for everyone. Support mental health. A healthy mind is the best defense against propaganda from any source for any purpose. Disconnect from cults such as white supremacists and the fringe elements of any political party. They have no respect at all for you.
Disagree with any part of this short essay if you can but have the courage to write your dissent on your own web pages, not on mine. I admire honest dissent, but I respect my readers too much to allow my space to be a safe haven for tiny minds that are part of the problem.

You have nailed the root causes to the wall. Without giving everyone hope for a good life, in spite of their limitations leading to them being isolated from society except from the feeding troughs of the implementers you describe, these kinds of atrocities will continue, unabated.
