A World Of Jeffery Epsteins?
I watched the film series, Filthy Rich. The series ranked second last week on Netflix’s top ten. It is well worth seeing although sickening about how such a disturbed person, Jeffery Epstein, got in a position of such influence. However, this article is not to discuss the film and the illness of Epstein but rather to warn us all of the very possibility that the world may within a few years be populated with Jeffrey Epstein’s. Here is why I say that:
Recently, I wrote about the Stanley Milgram Obedience Studies and how recent research and reviews have determined that people follow authority figures not out of blind obedience as the studies seemed to indicate but rather that the authority figure presented a vision of a world that the followers wanted.
In this case the warning I am presenting is that depending on how the election turns out, we could have a world not only of white supremacy but of white Christianity. Trump offers this vision to his followers. A world where women are objects, people of color become slaves and I mean that literally, and corporations and white men, preferably Protestant rule households, towns, states and ultimately the world. Jeffrey Epsteins run rampant. They won’t be held accountable. All under the protection of white supremacy and white Christians.
Am I being an alarmist? I hope so, but the events of this past week give us rise to become alarmed. Turning the judicial system into a wish list for trump values, gassing and running down peaceful protesters and cozying up to fools like Franklyn Graham and Jerry Falwell are just the beginning of a fascist nightmare. The Bible itself warns us by saying that he who has eyes to see and ears to hear take heed. Yes I only wish that I am an alarmist. It is not to late to take back our country and fulfill the vision our forefathers held.
This is probably the most important election this country has ever held. Get out and vote!
You should know too... the idea that Christianity is a white man’s religion is countered in the Bible in the book of Acts. When the church began, there were Africans who responded to the gospel (Acts 2:10). Philip the evangelist was called specifically to share the message of Christ with an Ethiopian official in Acts 8:26–38. This Ethiopian was saved and baptized, and the last we read of him, he “went on his way rejoicing” (verse 39). The Ethiopian Coptic Church traces its origin to the evangelistic work of the Ethiopian official in Acts 8. So your phrase "White Christianity" seems misbegotten. Some of the best and most loving people I've ever known over the years were African American Christians.
This article is well written, but misguided unfortunately.
It is overexagagerated claims of racism that are leading to vast property destruction and lost lives on all sides. As God tells us in His Word, the tongue is a small thing but starts great fires. Lord help all of us writers be more responsible with our skill with words. A lot is depending on it, not only in this life, but in the next as well right.
I believe the recent surge of activism among young people will bring out the voters like having a black intellectual as the Democratic candidate for president did in 2008. Every vote matters. Everyone should vote and support candidates who will tear down the aristocracy in America trying to subvert democracy to their tastes.
