Expressing old ideas anew is worthwhile,
So I’m adding this gem to the awesome pile:
Problem of world peace — what we should do
Is far less pressing than the pebble in my shoe.

Thank you Leland! This will make me grin all day - and as I do a lot of walking, very often indeed in the future. CJ

Ahhhhhhh... yes, Leland, me sweet... who can explain the poppings in the mind for your piece instantly made me think of the song "Bringin' it all Back Home" by Dylan. (just the title, of course).

Oh, to have us all see to our own business of living, mindful of our neighbor, tending to our garden. The pebble in the shoe presents a problem we can solve... and so we do. In it's brevity, I have found one of my very favorites of yours. Cliche or not cliche, this one speaks to me with a bullhorn! love, katy xox.

Ah Leland it's akin to pizzin in the wind, except I love your analogy better as one who frequently gets pebbles in my shoes. Peace and blessings. "M"

I haven't been able to do anything of note to settle the problem of world peace, but I sure can do something about that pebble. Silly me, I thought it was obvious. LOL

I think that the ego and self pain is not all that nice a way to bring such levity into the matter. I have to agree with Ronald, Leland.

But when the bomb goes off, and shrapnel runs you through, you'll forget that pebble, and wonder, "Why you (me). ;-)
