A fashionable meme in the politically correct world of left wing politcs holds that caring and sharing can save civilisation or as it is often put: Let's all join hands and sing Kumbaya.
That looks fine in theory util you think about what might happen when somebody thinks their neigbour has a bigger slice of the cake ...

In the battle for hearts and minds
subtlety often unwinds
and intellect is found to be hollow.

or pusillanimous loons.
Indecisiveness is hard to swallow

When decisive action is called for
be it is sport or business or war
to have faith in reason is callow.

So forget the rhetorical frolics,
when you're gripping them by the bollocks
their hearts and their minds will follow
