I have lived all my life in Donegal, on the rugged northwest coast of Ireland. Recently heralded as one of the most interesting places in the world to visit. The landscape is indeed breathtaking and it would be easy to say that the wildness and ruggedness of this last frontier of Europe was my inspiration to write, but that's not entirely true. Donegal's greatest asset are its people, ever eager to engage in clever and witty banter. Our use of language, the hilarious colloquialisms always leaves me wishing I had a pen to take notes. We have a unique way of looking at the rest of the world and indeed ourselves. My books are fictional stories based around places I've been and people I've met. They all have a strong historical background because I love history, and they all have strong links to Ireland in one way or another. My favourite writeres are John Connolly and Jodi Picoult.

I have three books self published on amazon and have had two short storied published in an Irish annual journal.
