Oh heavens
Oh heavens of royal sapphire
By day wash over us
Like blue waves of gentle winds
Flowing through us
At night the sky becomes
The velvet black of mystic comfort
Where solitary hearts beat against the backdrop
Of ten thousand, thousand suns
That warm the skies by day
On countless other worlds
And we are not alone
The first light of dawn
Heralds rebirth
Flowers reach out to kiss the light
Shadows of the night
Flee until the day is done
Twilight
The color of purple
Southern breeze
The crescent moon rises
The crescent city comes to life
Another cycle of life and light
The wash of deep blue waking dreams
Before the setting sun surrenders to moon beams
Chase a shooting star
Across the sky –
Question why?
