*You Only Fail if You Fail to Try* *They say they will remember but do not* *How could they forget us? Well they forgot* *They never loved us quite the way we thought* *We are surprised but should have realized* *That others only care about others* *When they are them or maybe their mothers* *It seems shocking at first maybe cruel* *But better you learn young than be a fool* *For all your given earthly span of days* *People think of themselves first and always* *There is one exception which proves the rule* *And that is when two somehow become one* *Mystical union in two hearts begun* *On earth to be continued in the sky* *This is the promise of love I live by* *And you only fail if you fail to try* *+Steven Curtis Lance* *Copyright MMV*
