*Transcendental Sonnet #1299:* *Three in the Morning Railroad Track in the Rain* *Up and down lonesome town everyone together* *At three in the morning snug in their beds at home* *Cold rain chills me to my bones this weeping weather* *Why has my life left me like this out here to roam* *Like the madman I am at this ungodly hour?* *I feel as though the night could reach down and devour* *Me without a trace no one to recall my face* *I could simply disappear never to be found* *Into another dimension of time and space* *But I just keep on walking by the railroad track* *I have no idea whatever where I am bound* *Or when I left or why or when I might be back* *I stumble now and then because I look above* *Me for the stars searching to find the one I love* *+Steven Curtis Lance* *Copyright MMV Silke LLC*

i still rampage the streets at night and perhaps it's the nature of us poetic(s) folks to have these translucent moments where we become immune to the mundane drills of hours, to clocks, to time, to march the madness of commonplace existence.

i say charge the hills, donn the torrents, seize the mean streets, until we are fulfilled.

Just stay beside those tracks, no thinking of walking between them especially with a train on the way...this too shall pass...Ed

Sometimes one finds the most interesting things walking along the tracks. There is something though about the whistle from a train approaching.

It's a pretty long walk if you're going to walk along the tracks. Hhhhhmmmmm....wonderful metaphors about life.
