"The world keeps turning we keep turning too / As leaves in autumn sunflowers to sun / We die at dusk for life to be begun / Again at dawn arisen and anew"

Poem Artwork

To Be Begun Again With You

I want to brush your hair and polish you

The way I really ought to wax my car

But it is nineteen feet long and you are

Just five feet and are so much warmer too

My car is forty so much older than

Your young years an age closer to this man

Who remembers it when he was a boy

When it was Grandpa's car his pride and joy

As it has lasted even so have I

Old Chryslers and old poets never die

The world keeps turning we keep turning too

As leaves in autumn sunflowers to sun

We die at dusk for life to be begun

Again at dawn arisen and anew

I want to be begun again with you

Steven,

Old Cars and Women ? That is quite an analogy. Thank God we know the differences in both. (lol) I like this. Though years pass time goes on.
