Haunting my dreams

Poem Artwork

 The world lies in waiting
for the cold shards of ice
spreading patterns across
the dark pavement

Inside there is turmoil
sweet sweet aching
spreading in me

Mirrored soul
I feel what you feel
is this possible
is this real

The smell of body on body
lingers in my mind
allthough nobody but me
is around.

In the night you haunt my dreams
echo in my muddled screams
I have no will
I have no say
I feel it still
Can't keep you at bay

Waves and waves of
pleasure shake the core
of me.
As I begin to wake up
you beckon me in...
deeper in...
How can this be

Without warning I'm there
without thought I'm there
Intensely shaking my body
to the core of my soul
into sweet aching turmoil

Where are you now
making me feel what you feel
this is all to surreal

Haunting my dreams
with your silent screams
Echo your soul on my soul
your mind on my mind
helplessly soaked
into your dreams.
Moaning muddled screams
moaning muddled screams
I'm in your dreams
I'm in your dreams

Well penned, Elisabeth. Horribly sensual.

Dreams and reality have a strange habit of inter-mingling to create a sense of reality where heart, passion and desire are concerned. You captured this beautifully in this prose.

I think you should have put this one in the special Halloween genre. To paraphrase the Eagles, your dreams, "… could be heaven, or they could be hell." Felt like I was there with you. My dreams are sometimes very intimate and frightening at the same time, too.
