Poem Artwork

Sliding, tumbling, gently caressing
the ground.
She creeps closer to you not making
a sound.
Her gown that of a thousand dew drops
are made.
Her face that of a thousand riddles outlined
in mysterious shade.
Graciuosly she comes near, inside you creep
the dark fingers of fear,

What lies behind? Lurking in the shadows
over there?
Pray tell, show me what is that in the shadows
that draws near?

Accompanied by the sound of howling wolves
in erie symphony.
Lurking 'neath the moonlight outlined branches'
rustling cacaphony.
Oh how dark and gloomy is this day
in wakening?
Oh how dark and dreary is this graciously passing
the forsaken?

What lies hidden in the sound of rusty chain
and clinking metal?
what treasures can be found inside of a bleeding
rose petal?
Some hold it to be the rest and the quiet breath
of the lonesome
Some hold it to be the fear and the ghasped breath
of the wholesome.

I hold it to be the beauty of a thousand mysteries
that are yet to be told.
I find it to be the hidden diamonds that lies within
the soul that cannot be sold.
Come closer, I urge, if you dare.
Come closer, I urge, if you're not easily scared.
You may wish for the mist to pass you by in a hurry,
she will leave you with a feeling of being empty as she scurry.

I bid you farewell sweet lady of untold dreams.
we will see you again, in this life or the next.
As you pass by with whispers
of sweet untold dreams.
