Poem Artwork

 Sweet petal bleeding red;
darkened jagged edge,
of mourning
the loss
of love.

(How beautiful you are,
my sweet precious dove.
I have come to
lead you towards
my love.)

Thorns lay in waiting,
for those who venture near.
For this rose has been
forever locked
in fear.

(Why you sting the heart,
of the one that would give
you the world?
I will never hurt you, you have
my word.)

Heart in malady has
been sealed with dark flame.
For belief in love is gone,
she will she will never be
the same.

(Like your knight in shining armour
I will always be here.
Do not doubt my words,
for you I will always
hold near.)

With tender, careful nurture,
the light can burn again some day,
as she stretch her battered
vine so she can reach
your tender sunray.

(I will be yours forever more,
through hard times and good times,
my love for you will soar,
over all.)

Red is the rose once more.
Vines climb toward
heavens above,
as she is once again
conquered by love.

(My heart will always be yours,
burning hot  is the flame
that will never
again
be tamed.)

My heart will beat forever for you,
this flame will burn,
through storm and rain,
forever
for you.
