Poem Artwork

Dreams somehow faded
life somehow jaded
our reality intertwined illusion
piles upon piles of confusion.

Don't know if I want to go
don't know if I want to let go
this dream is everything to me
without only darkness I would see.

You know this story
hold love and glory
my fantasy the marker
light when things get darker

I know it will never be the same
only death of dreams remain.
If you try to mold me.

Trick or treat
be good or be bad
we'll save a seat
in heaven or hell
a difference you cannot tell.

In this humanity of grey shade
our reality is what we made
we insist of painting it black and white
peer pressure we are unable to fight

Be the victim or be the culprit
be the dreamer or the one to interpret
falsify to ratify the grey
if not you will surely pay
with loss of good reputation
in due consummation
of the power play
called socializing.

Now is that really civilizing?

The great riddle of life at play
how you can stand to live each day
in somebody elses shoes?
Because if not you stand to loose
to live the life you choose
but still you loose yourself
because to be somebody else
is how you stay in the fold
keep it up until you're old
so then you get to die
regretfully knowing you lived a lie.

It's not for me.

Shower me in colors sparkling
give me the joy of startling
behaviour that cannot be tamed
and pleasure that can't be restrained.
Laughs that are to wild
kindness that are to mild
some will call me meek
others will call me geek.

Let them!

I will be a nature force
unstoppable of course
otherwise whats the point
for me to annoint
myself the queen of me
the radiating soul you see.

I find socializing to be quite boring. But some feel the real need for the kinship of gossip and conformity, making some people great socializers and others not.

I've always enjoyed a good time, chiming in even on things I have no interest in. But not all the time like a social club or meeting at the tavern like so many do, etc. I find it much easier just to be alone and out of the social network. Doesn't make me feel antisocial. Just normal and sane.

A great poem with plenty of emotions well expressed, and this is what life 8s about.

We are not promised life is a bowl of cherries. There will be joy and happiness, sadness and sorrows, love and harmony, anger and hate and we are allowed to feel these emotions in life. You haven't truly lived if you have not experienced any of these emotions. Without darkness we would not know the joy of light.

I love how you painted the picture and then a poem is born. Your painting and your poem complement each other.
