I love sunflowers! The most cute flower there is. They make me happy. :)

Poem Artwork

I am forever sorry for the times I turned my back on you.
It's like in that song. Remember? Well, it came through.

I am sorry anyway. Maybe we will live to see another day.

That's completely up to you my friend.
All you need to do is reach out to mend.

I think you know where I stand.
I will reach out my hand
to meet yours.
in healing loves force.

I don't think you turn your back on sunflowers. It looks like an entreaty to someone to forgive and forget. I hope it works for anyone that is trying to get back to someone they care about.

For many years, the vacant lot a block away from my house was neglected by its owner. The large corner lot was ablaze in mid-summer with sunflowers 6 feet tall. At one point for about three years the next lot, also neglected had big trees. There was a rookery of Indian illegal alien white cattle egrets. A rare sight of "plenty birds" right in suburbia, dutifully planting sunflowers all throughout the vacant lots in the area. That lot, a commercial one still unsold, is now mowed to grass level often and all of the birds in the area suffer while vacant lots are gobbled up for homes and businesses with more and more concrete. What a shame. We don't even have a park nearby. Just an abandoned golf course on an landfill site, where wild things can still find refuge.
