A lesson to learn

Poem Artwork

So sure, sure does'nt fit the description
need more, more oumph in the depiction
Sure as I may be, I still don't see why
this fantasy is stuck like glue, don't try
to shake it off me, it's there to stay you see
Gonna make it, no other option you see

Come take a walk with me on this long and winding road
Love is a deal breaker, a brazen home wrecker, to sweeten the load
Cannot see how this will end, there is no mending this heart of mine
I'm just one of many obsessed waiting in a worshipping line
Tell me what should I do? Heart in hand, pining over you
Been aloof to love most of my life and that is true , until I met you

Don't like this feeling at all, it's like a thousand foot wall and winter is coming
like a burning fever no cure, in desert heat a mirage in sight I'm roaming
Aimless wandering soul yearning for you, unrequited love no less
because that is what sink its claws in tender soul the best
Still I cannot blame you for making me yearn,
you are just the lesson I've got to learn

Ron!
It’s not a spiteful poem, It’s a sheer frustration poem, but no blame on the love interest.

About as honest as one can get. I wonder when the lesson will be over. Very direct and to the point. Love the style as well. The perfect spiteful poem.

Love and unrequited love can be cruel at the very least. You captured this will Elisabeth...
