A Waltz

Poem Artwork

This life, a strange and winding road
one of strife, of peace, in different loads

We are drifters in its everchanging stream
fumble blindly, 'ever chasing illusive dreams

Among currents fierce and luring bait,
set challenges, and then we wait

Reposing our troops to fit our dreams
without calling our hand down to its seams

Reshaping our destiny over and over again
never asking for things to stay the same

No creature of habit, not you, not me,
as we struggle against the forces that be

A waltz alluding our senses, outcome in the stars
as we set our game board, Venus and Mars

Shuffle through life, to and fro, allignment dislocate,
setting out pieces, drawing back, upon next move wait

wow such stark beauty such deep word belongs to a poet of High Priestess Class. Loved every word dear Elisabeth, sending prayers on Angel wings, and friendship hues, Take Care :)

Loved this poem, We all go to the dance, Some dance a single dance for a life time, some dance many dances and some don't dance at all. I hope you dance for a life time.

I find this an amazing revelation about our lives caught up in the stream of change. I know that you and I embrace it and use it to move forward in a positive way. Unfortunately, in this country we have so many in high places that wish to maintain their money and position by trying to hold back history re-revealed and positive change.

Kudos! Write more beauty like this.

Yes, as you posit, the sense of continuance is abundant in the minds and hearts of those who see into the immense array of existence and life. The shuffle, the alignment dislocate are inevitable. Unfortunately, too few give themselves the chance to realize such epiphanies. Appreciate the depth to which this piece projects. Thank you for posting.
