Calculated Risk

Poem Artwork

Calculated risk, my heart on line
take it, it's yours not mine

I'm so in love, I can't see clear
there's no way back I fear

The moon, the sun and stars
wayward, still close to heart

Brittle bones and brittle soul
this I fear is out of control

Sending message through binary code
please, I'm stuck in yearning mode

Travel wave length by wave length in mind
ambition set on making you mine

Is this for real, this hard cut steel?
Razor sharp is what I feel

Cutting myself on its edge as I fall
down, down, immersed by it all

I can't find my way back
from my souls vicious attack

Upon my mind waging war
in a way I've never seen before

Lost, do I want to go back?
Am I unbeknownst of me on the right track?

Give me a sign, my immortal soul in need
knowledge is what I crave so feed

You describe online love as being mostly in the mind of the person "craving knowledge." Making the last stanza stand out. I enjoyed your journey to that conclusion in your mind's eye.
