Poem Artwork

My heart, a constant reminder
of rebellion, uprising, pretender
with the flow, yet refusing to go
I lost my hold on it long ago

Its perilous journey through lore
wind in my sails no more
Broken and shattered
billions of pieces scattered

I fear the pain may surpass
this howling sorrow at last
Return to a broken down state
as I release the dreamlike faith

I may go mad just a tad as I face the dawn
I pause before the altar of the rubicon
Frenzied words keep tumbling down
creative pastures on which I seek to roam
will you take me home?

A poet's heart is always on the roam. Very nice!
