Poem Artwork

My soul is yearning for its twin
tell me how could this be a sin?

Reaching in vain for a distant star
my dream my longing reached to far.
Heart is aching, longing, missing you
I know there is no getting through.
This dream I have of me and you
reaching for a heart that's colored blue.

Look into what the future may hold
shackles around me I've been told.
To be captured and held in hiding
from the world that you are riding.

Build me an inpenetrable tower
where inside you keep the flower
of my body, soul, mind and heart
that you never again will part

from...

Trust in what you fear to loose isn't easy to gain
you want to make our life a passage, a refrain.
Locked inside a treasure chest for love and desire,
adding to the flames you build its funeral pyre.

This treasure you haven't yet gained you stand to loose
tell me who is to blame for the road you willingly choose?
Where you protect yourself from any and all future pain
and where you stand alone with nothing to be gained.

From the heart, you've penned an invite to one lost or away to consider the consequences of a decision having a bearing on two individuals. Such is the to-and-fro swing of the pendulum of love. Wishing you success in your quest for peace and resolve.

This is a very heartfelt poem.

Love isn't always as sweet as we imagine or expect it to be. Some love is bitter. When you meet the right person, love becomes beautiful as your souls become one.
