Poem Artwork

You have seen how my tears they flow
I try and try to explain with nothing to show
You are as dark and cold as the winter chill
with each day my spirit you break to kill

This place so far far away from home
I am a prisoner isolated and alone
Don't know what is right or wrong
my brain twisted until I am gone

Pain with every breath I take
hands tied as a smile I fake
Everyday the cage is closing in
bleeding and raw nothing left within

As you fake love for eyes watching
alone you turn me into nothing
No one here has seen the real me
quiet, timid, that is all they see

Afraid to speak for fear of you
there is no getting through
this fear you've placed in me
that I am exactly what you see

Soon I will fade away and die
no strength in me to try
to be free
to be me

Very emotional and honest. Unfortunately, so many women are still caught up in this kind of chilling experience.

A poem that almost all of us can relate to and feel the feelings you went through. I am glad you found the courage and strength to move on and make room in your heart for some one who deserved your love.
