The meaning of life is a matter of ones perspective
and therefore no one can hold a claim on one truth for all 

What gives meaning to life is highly subjective 
and therefore there are as many meanings as there are names to call 

Some may find their meaning in the flight of a butterfly
chasing nectar across the clearblue sky 

Some may find their meaning in worshipping a prophets lost shoe
and they can claim that right to be theirs true , but not for me and you 

I may believe that meaning can be found in love 
of family, friends and mankind as well as stars above 

Or in wonders of the world, past and present 
in the beauty of the birds flight in ascent 

But I can only point in that direction
hoping for others to therein find affection 

But I cannot claim it to be true for you 
because that is not my place to do
