Blindfolded by the Night

Poem Artwork

I bestow this gift onto you
wrapped with silver bow
For all the world to see
that you truly belong to me

All the while you work on yours
wrapped in rainbows colors
For all the world to see
that one truly belongs to thee

Unicorns topped with golden horns
magic creatures with all their features
Whailing your love out in the dark
trusting  that you have lit that spark

Hearts reaching out to touch and feel
and still I wonder if it is for real
I have no control over my mind
a wet cloak over my souls find

My light is strong enough to heal
strong enough to make dreams real
For you, for her, but maybe not for me
I keep running from my dreams you see

They tower like a mountain I need to climb
I am afraid to fall if ever I make them mine
My true st and deepest fear is to face you
all alone in the flashing lights of truth

Blinded by the light
Blinded by the night
Blindfolded dreams
Blindfolded screams

It's good to see you posting again.

This one is really somewhat of an expression of going blindly into something and then being trapped by it with that final line.
