Anche Questo è l'amore Ma ... non dirlo ai santi … per non farli incanutire Non sussurrarlo ai mogli castigate … per non farli piangere Non bisbigliarlo ai mariti disgraziati … per non renderli insofferenti Non soffiarlo ai cuori solitari … per non farli sognare Perchè … anche questo è l’amore … Questo distacco mentale… Quest’inquietudine di cuori nostri … come un tormentone musicale Questa distanza … questa lontananza … Questa lunga assenza ...Questi dubbi e malintesi Anche questo è l’amore … Questi notti senza dormire … notti d’autoerotismo Questi pensieri proibiti, Questi desideri irrealizzabili … cosi ardenti, cosi frustranti... Questa fantasticheria … Di tutto ciò che potrebbe verificarsi Anche questo è l’amore … Questa sofferenza infinità … Queste lacrime involontarie … Quest’ attesa non ricompensata Questi messaggi non risposti Anche questo è l’amore … Questa esperienza vivibile … mai vissuta Quest’amore fattibile … mai fatto Questo toccabile oggetto di desiderio … mai toccato Quest’ accoppiamento contemplato … mai realizzato Questa passione fiammeggiante … mai saggiata Anche questo è l’amore … Questi desideri … quest’ immaginazione … queste torture … Che crescono … in continuazione … Nei cuori delicati … giorno e notte … Come l’erba aromatica … nel cespuglio Tutto questo … Giusto … o … Sbagliato … E’ … La sagoma d’amore.

Though I understand a goodly portion of this poem, it
would be great if it could also be posted in English,
as some of the other Italian poets on The Den have done.
Your writing is of such high quality it would be a shame
not to have the English speaking authors read it.
