They said it would rain
but what the heck
I'm going down
for a walk along The Thames.
As it turned out
they were almost wrong
the rain never fell
till I was heading home.
Walked along Southbank
near The London Eye,
so many street artists
as you pass by.
Stopped off at the Southbank Center
saw a free concert
had a drink
it couldnt be better.
Still the Sun shone
so I walked to Charing Cross
by the time I reached Trafalgar Square
the rain did its worst.
It made no difference
I was heading home
just nice to take a stroll
along The Thames
while the Sun shone.
