The value of words is endless.
Inside of words
there lurks emotion
the power of what
is spoken,
uttered expressions
from within
written on paper
or carefully said.
They have the ability
to impart sway
turn a direction
another way,
they create a jargon
one albeit complex
the writings in law
that laymen they vex.
These symbols of speech
to humans unique
are laid out
like the script of a play,
that maybe will last
far longer than thought
long long after
the writer has gone their way.
Like the words
of a well known song
the written word
lives on.
