My eyes look out at life

my mind recalls it all

like a book,

my body erks is tired

sometimes the truama

turns rather than look.

My heart makes me sigh

at the loves that have passed by

a tear drop reminds me

I'm human I try.

Time will not wait

tis the same with age

it plays a fool

with nostalgic games,

a time for this

a time for that

time to lay down

in so many ways.

Yet through it all

ripples run through life

like a river winds its way

leaving smiles

at different days,

so many times captured

in a painting

a photograph,

there amid the nostalgia

I look also smile

life is cool like that

the past and the present

how they come alive.
