The key is never to get off the track in the first place. But it is amazing how modern medicine can save us to live another day. I learned this when surgery was the only thing that could save me from pneumonia in December, 2012. I've come back from that healthier and it wasn't much of a sacrifice with a short recovery to getting back to normal.

Excellent write! We all have our regrets but there are also times when we have chosen wisely. Smoking is a nasty habit, drinking is as well but hard drugs can be living hell. We all have overcome much during the journey in life. Amen!
