I AM A...

Do Christians sin? Yes, we do...for what are Christians but individuals who are daily forgiven through sincere repentance with 'new mercies' from above? We are far from perfect, but we still earnestly...try. And Almighty God, knowing our frailities, rewards us for 'earnestly' trying...as His Holy Spirit...progressively changes us. Thus, I feel no shame, as I am led to confess that I am a...sinner. Pressing on, amen.

Poem Artwork

  I AM A...

S truggler, who falls...often...but prays, gets back up...strengthened and forgiven...then goes on...knowing that...I am

I ncapable of living, even a moment, without the wonderful 'assurance' of God's presence in my life...but still...in spite of His presence...I am

N ever entirely without concerns...big and small...yet..I do try to always remember...His infinite love for me...not forgetting that ...I am

N ow and forever a recipient...so unworthy...of His 'new mercies' which He extends to me each day...thus, it is without any reservations that many times...in the midst of chaos...I am

E nvisioning my home, my blessed reward...but as wonderful as this dream is...I am well aware of the fact that my limited, human imagination can only 'glimpse'...its real beauty...and this makes me glad... so  very glad that...I am

R edeemed...bought with a high price...the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ...for it is the only thing that stands between me and hell. I am a Christian...I am a...Sinner.

1Jn 1:8-10, Is 64:6, Rom 3:23, Lam 3:22-23

Amen, Joyce. We all fall short of the Glory of the Lord. We are not perfect, we are all sinners. If we were perfect, Jesus's death would have been for nothing. May God bless you every day of your life.

Apart from the theme and its message, Joyce, I like how you've constructed the poem with the verses seamlessly linked and the flow uninterrupted.

What a great piece this is!! Joyce, no one is perfect in this world. A true Christian will educate others, and you are one of them. I love how you have written this. No one in this world is perfect, or sinless; but as we all strive to be that way through our beliefs.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece!!

Well written. I recently posted a poem about a dream I had that I named Dim Lighted Ones, the way I read this poem it says something similar to what I think my dream was trying to tell me, it can be very exhausting thinking one has to be perfect, striving for perfection can cause stress, anxiety and guilt where there is no need for it. Better then to know that we are all a little bit of both light and darkness and what we need to do is find a healthy balance.

Karma Bank to Following By Listening by Chiemi

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
