No one can rely on themselves to give God the praises He so richly deserves...No one can take the credit for the lauds that come forth giving honor to the King of Kings. No one...but...God Alone

Poem Artwork

At times the mind is empty

it has nothing to say

but then...

the phrases of admiration break

resembling the dawn of a fine new day

Out of a silent heart

flow syllables of Glory and Praise

like a mighty wave breaking upon a dry shore

....the chaff is driven away

And one is reminded, why...

It is not us at all...

who bring forth the lauds

which fill our inspiration halls

Not us at all...

who  form the tender prose...

who speaks...who knows

Not us at all...

who gives every breath...

that tell of such mighty heights and depth

But a Glorious King...!

with miraculous healing springs

A Marvelous Keeper...!

bountiful substance reaper

A Trusted Benefactor...!

our soul's wroth retractor

'Tis God...

  God Alone!

Dear Joyce, This is a wonderful spiritual and depth poem. Particularly, among others, these two lines
" It is He who gives every breath
that tells of His mighty heights and depth" Without Him we cannot be alive.

Truth is the exposure of one's inability to create, invent, or access to knowledge without the very existence of God...no wonder the world is so chaotic, humans are caught up within themselves...nice work...
