When the sun sets ...

and we cannot see it any longer

does it not rise again...in another land?

And though it has left our sight...

do we forget its awesome glow

and the warmth we have received

from its presence?

Thus, though Maya Angelou's soul has stepped

into a realm of perfect peace and rest

a place she has often spoken of

...we will never forget her

For she has left behind the gems of her

living which will 'never' dim!

Having climbed her mountains...and

forged her valleys she has left her indelible

mark of courage, strength and inspiration

upon the entire world

Through her numerous gifts

she has touched the

lives of so many...near and far...who

with much gratitude have felt the rays

of her candid love.

The divine wisdom that she shared

precipitated 'growth' in all those who

came in contact with her...in whatever

way they did

Yes, for just a little while, we had the sun

but though it is now set...we will see it again

Until then...

let us glory in the blessing

of having been partakers of its

light...so beautiful!
