There used to be a time when

I'd have a list...

Dear God, I want that...and I want this

There used to be a time when

all my needs and wants

were spread before Him...yen and taunt

I'd think of everything I wanted

and made sure not to forget a thing

I'd take them unto Him

every thought ...I'd bring

But that was long ago...

many years have flown and gone

these days we've grown much closer

and I realize...with each new dawn...

What good are 'things'  without His light?

What matters possessions...without His sight?

The 'wonder' of His...peace

is now my most desire...complete

for, He already knows...He already sees

answering prayers...even before bent knees

I've come to learn...through the good and tough

that what I 'need' is more of... Him

He's.... more than enough!
