When all is quiet...
and most are sleep
Dear Jesus, it's me and You
In these decreasing times
You are so evident
in all You've taken me through
When all is quiet...
and stars reflect the moon's
translucent glow
Your marvelous power
a treasure assured...comes
because You love me so
When all is quiet...
it's the lull of Your Spirit
that renders the impossible done
I'll press on in this race
grateful every moment
for...each step...of the run
with my future so complex
You usher in winds of calm
repairing my veil of 'human' strands
It's Your presence that strengthens
and, in awe of Your reign
I do 'surrender' in Your Hands
Thus, betwixt yesterday's setting
while sun still hides
from another day's ret
I anticipate tomorrow's hail
for 'tis You that'll come again
...When all is quiet
