All God's ever asks us to do is 

…Try! 

We’ve not the ability ourselves to change 

it’s He who will re-arrange 

Personally speaking…I 

would have never perceived His call 

nor even looked His way, at all 

if He hadn’t allowed a fall 

It took every mountain 

and every rough sea 

it took every destined storm and fire 

for Our God to reach me 

Yes…a Loving Father lurched

deep into my miry sod 

lifting me to gaze upon 

the gift of Salvation’s Rod 

I’d like to say, everything’s fine 

that now I’m dandy as wine 

but that would be a false line 

for the victory will not be won 

until we hear well done, well done 

Until then, remember -  

no tear is ever useless 

no lament…fruitless 

our trim is not our whim 

all perfection belongs to...Him
