EXPRESSIONS OF LOVE... (J)

There is no story or link needed for my next poem in His Inspirations, Expressions of Love Series. For the photo, which I found on-line a short while ago, says it all. It trashes every argument…every terrible ‘reason’ for any and all racial barriers that exist.
We were once like this, you know. Yes, you and I were filled with this God given innocence and...Love! This is how God made us, this is how we were born. We did not come forth from the womb hating another person because of the color of their skin or their nationality.
Thus, any trace of racism that is in our hearts was learned…taught. Racism, this great sad divide, which is so prevalent all the world, was demonstrated in such a way that as we grew, we totally forgot…The Secret!

Poem Artwork

shall we tell them…our secret…

shall we let them know?

Oh, no….!

they’ve forgotten that…God is Love…

and that skin color or race doesn’t matter

they can’t recall…when they were like us

with no thoughts of racial clatter

and they’ll try to make us be like them…

then we’ll hate each other and not be friends

so, we can’t tell them our...secret…

Oh no…!

we just…can’t…let them know!

Children are all good and innocent unless we feed something bad into their mind. We should all teach love and compassion to our children. Thank you for a well-written poem!

The Tigress and The Euphrates.......the cradle of civilization! They were no white! We were all one. God created man in His image. I could go on, my friend. Satan is at work with all that hate, my friend!

Love ya!

Human history is a long terrible chronicle of humankind trying to find something other than the Most High God to make them happy. Sadly, racism continues to be a festering unwellness that never goes away. Only Christ's love can change it. A fine insight JMS Bell. Thank you for sharing. Regards. rlc

Love is indeed the key for the children of God from all colors, not just love, but the love of God, which is the Holy Spirit. But the division of the races is, in my opinion, a direct result from the language confusion at the tower of Babel, where the Lord said, "Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." The division between us is ordained by God, to keep us from becoming too powerful. Racism is not just dumb hatred, racism is that division. All races have racism. The way afro-americans, and in a bigger sense, all races, have suffered under the oppression by the white race, is so, because God has given the power over the world to the white race, because they were the only race worshipping the Lord for more than a 1000 years. Now that Africa is becoming more and more christian, and also South America, the power will over time shift to them, and then it's their turn to oppress us all. It takes humility to accept this, because we have to accept that it's not at all about us. It's His story, and as long as He sits on His throne, all is well. This is what the book of Revelation has taught me. Not that I like racism or am a racist, I try not to be. But honestly, only the Holy Spirit keeps me from it. It is upon us. By the way, you can see how the world is trying to unite. This is not because of love or peace, but because they want to be more powerful than God, and reach heaven without Him. A wrong strive. Serving God is more important. And that is, I guess, our secret!

You reminded me that as I fondly remember the minister who acted as our mentor and advisor for our college Methodist based ecumenical church group, that he was probably of a another race than white. He was an amazing singer with a deep baritone voice and led us in spirituals and protest songs so well. We just accepted him to lead us when he came two nights a week from a college 30 miles away where he had his ministry. I will never know what is genetic roots were, but they probably weren't European.

I agree totally with you about acceptance and equality. But we must remember that Christianity played a huge part in colonial oppression and keeping the races apart for centuries.
