There is a hymn with a chorus that goes like this… ‘All that Jesus Wants is you. All the Savior Wants is you. Not just a part, He wants all of your heart…all that Jesus wants, all the Master wants…All that Jesus Wants…is you.’ Let’s press-on!

He who needs nothing… Wants…you and I! He said, His ways and thoughts are higher than ours… as the sky is higher than the earth And as one stands and ponder this… some aloofness…might give birth. But also He said, I am a jealous God... now, this sounds like you and me For such fire can ignite contention, or… foster positive inspiration, that’s Godly. So then, was our Supreme Creator… in these verses, giving us a…key… to perhaps an unhampered view of whom…He really be? Our God, who is...Our King and One Lord owes...none...allegiance, still He keeps and... has placed us...on this spinning globe which He manifested and holds in...His Hand. Yet…with tears, He bemoaned a friend also comforted a mourning mother, grand... then when entering Jerusalem, wept… unashamedly, for His beloved land. Thus, we can clearly see… He is not a God who cannot be touched with the groans of our infirmities. But rather He reached down and bowed… shed the oil of His Redeemed Blood, unlocked our rusted cells, and anointed our arid brow. Albeit, be not unsure or afraid… to turn to Him…who Loves us so, take off those...cloaks...of hesitancy let…familiar ease with Him…grow. Be encouraged, He has a plan already knowing us…whatever we be and without ridicule …understands no matter how hidden our complexities. For, He…whose heart is full of feelings harbors utmost desire…to hear and receive our fervent pealing… that we should escape the gin by learning to…walk…with Him. Yes! Our Almighty God who needs …absolutely nothing… Wants…you and I Is 43:1 & 49:15-16 & 55:8-9, Jer 29:11, 31:3, & 33:3, Ex 20:5, Lk 7:12-13 & 19:41, Jh 11:35, Acts 17:24-25, Heb 4:15 jmsbell-4/28/23

He wants you, me, all of us because we are part of God, All That Is, Divine Entity, as Jesus came to teach us all. Too bad men interpreted and deleted and even changed the words that Jesus shared to fulfill their own ends which to this day, continue to belie what Jesus was teaching us. I want to live the life portrayed by the biblical Jesus, but I do not want to be the slave of some, almighty god. Regardless of what he wants… Me?

Your poem reminded me of a beautiful line in the Quran which states: "I am with you wherever you are." And another: "Wherever you turn, there is the Face of God." A truth that if we really internalized would change the way we live our lives.

Amen! It's uncanny how, when I read your poetry, it's when I need it the most! He gave His Son for us and wants "absolutely nothing" in return but us! So uplifting and encouraging!! Thank you!
