Often, we take it for granted. From whence comes the ‘air’ that we breathe? God Alone. Pressing on.

It absorbs the treasures of the season’s fields and proceeds… on its way. It nestles spices, sometimes lavender that may grace a random windowsill… but again, it does not stay. Even encountered radiant new roses with their intoxication flowing bare… cannot its path…deter. For, directed by You, Creator God… Your Air…to us it comes to claim and embellishing with…strength… calls our name. O Jehovah, just when life’s anxieties… affect our breathing free Your Air… filled with wondrous particles of hope inebriates liberally. And this is not every now and then, but… with each new day’s start it is…Your Air…of succulent faith which encourages our heart. So it is, daily…as we journey on it is for this replenishing gift… the imparting of a life-giving plate …Your Air…that we await. JOB 33:4 ©jmsbell- 8/16/2026

Job 33:4 - A verse that is part of Elihu's speech to Job emphasizing that human life and existence are directly sustained by God's spirit and power. The breath of the Almighty echoes the creation account in Genesis where God breathed life into Adam and he became a living being. Humbles me every time I read it. We have to plant lavender and spices in order to smell them. And the air quality is our responsibility. We must prevent the air from gaining more carbon or we all will perish.
