He is the light that shines the path,
but people shy away, to walk in the dark. from my poem, The Wrath of God.

 KING OF KINGS

As they traveled towards the light

in the midst of the sky,

a glorious shine,

warmed the eyes of the wise.

Towards the hills a stable was near,

the Lamb of God was proclaimed here.

With a glance it was revealed,

God was living within this human being.

King of Kings was whispered everywhere,

the Son of Man was given unto us to share.

Born into this world to redeem us from sin,

God only knows perfection is not our gift.

From that moment on, His life began to form,

Son of God, to endure all.

Miracle after miracle they still did not believe.

peace and love were spoken, but to deaf ears,

all that was said and done.

Still, they turned away from Him.

He carried His cross with the weight of the world,

the look of peace consumed Him well.

Hatred and sorrow were all around,

but faith, hope and love had strengthened Him to complete his vow.

He lay down on His cross, the nails driven through,

a cry of pain that scorched the moon.

The cross was raised and placed.

His eyes glancing toward the sky,

He said "Father, into your hands I commend my soul."

Darkness had covered the earth while still day.

Thunder and lighting soared through the sky.

His life was over.

On the third day He rose from the dead,

proclaiming God’s kingdom will never end.

He is truly the King of Kings;

I will always lay down my life for Him.
