some critics are harsh in their critiques and constructive criticism is all that we seek....especially for the meek
A critics bite is froth with fright;
but, they're not always right; you
give slights; become uptight when
returned to your insight
(sometimes)
A critics bite can shed some light;
but, not when you pass out a snipe
towards a poets limelight
(sometimes)
A critics bite is to let you know
if, you can write; not to correct
a word not spelt right; just peruse
its content to gain a poets insight
to his writing rights
Don't take the critics bite to heart
it's just to give you a start; vice
versa a critic shouldn't feel slighted
when a poet returns a critique from
receiving a slight thrown into his
spotlight
Sometimes the critics bite can be light
that will steer you right; or veer off
left field of knocking the poet off
course of his artistic right
Critics think about what you write
your bite can leave you or the poet
feeling uptight about each others
given right; respect each others
right to voice their writing rights
this poem was written when i first started writing and new to the game i was criticized for a misspelling of a word...which, put me off a little to bit so, this is what i came up with to give insight to anyone that critiques a poem of another poet.....the part II addenum is for another poet that was totally nasty in their critique of something else i wrote.....so i just added a few more words to the original poem...that's why we have a critics bite II...that poet herself wrote me back after reading a critics bite II to say that she stood corrected for her snipe.....
