Whatever Happened? Whatever happened to Mark's other life? That shining shelter from the stress and the strife. A home away from home, almost another wife. Whatever happened? Whatever happened. Whatever ... Whatever happened to the God who once was? Was one of us betrayed or was He just like Santa Claus? Does the universe have meaning? Does it even have a cause? Whatever happened? Whatever happened. Whatever ... Whatever happened to Jethro Bodine? Is he still trying to keep that fish bowl clean? Take out the trash and wouldn't everything be keen? Whatever happened? Whatever happened. Whatever ... Whatever happened to Ellsworth M. Toohey? That pompous ass, to him I just say "Phooey!" He sounds so sensible but much of what he says is hooey. Whatever happened? Whatever happened. Whatever ... Whatever happened to "Little Bird in the Snow"? My friend forever who I lost so long ago. Did she walk away or was it me? I just don't know. Whatever happened? Whatever happened. Whatever ... Whatever happened to sweet Maryann? Is she still counting on the promised land? Is she still trying oh so hard to understand? Whatever happened? Whatever happened. Whatever ... Whatever happened to my Southern belle? The Lotus Flower, that Angel from Hell. I hope she's happy. I hope that she is doing well. Whatever happened? Whatever happened. Whatever ... Whatever happened to Grace from above? She believed in destiny. She believed in love. She descended down upon this battlefield like a dove. Whatever happened? Whatever happened. Whatever ... Whatever happened to the Lily of the East? She brought me wisdom. She brought me peace. She brought me a key when I thought that I had been released. Whatever happened? Whatever happened. Whatever ... Whatever happened to the Gazing Abyss? It said goodbye without even a kiss. Wish I could say that it was something I miss. Whatever happened? Whatever happened. Whatever ... Whatever happend to my search for "the truth"? I got lost inside a telephone booth. I have a longing now for the innocence of youth. Whatever happened? Whatever happened. Whatever ...
