This is my best version, but other than the first eight lines, I still don't like it.

It's just me, your husband. I know you're prolly busy
doin' somethin' with your friends or someone else
so you prolly won't have time to read this.
But I thought I'd send it to you, just to let you know:
1. I love you very much.
2. I'm leavin' you for someone else.
3. I've decided to shoot myself.
If you ever get around to readin' it, you can choose
whichever one o' those you like best.
Of course number two don't really make much sense.
You know nobody else 'd want me any more 'n you do.
I prolly shoulda just said, "I'm leavin' and I'm never comin' back",
'cause that's what I really decided to do.
Though I ain't got a clue 'bout where I'm goin'.
Maybe I'll end up in some cheap motel room in Southern Utah,
with a bottle of Jack Daniels and a dead cockroach on the floor.
And maybe this'll be my last night on Earth. Maybe.

so there ain't no use in callin' it.
