“Who Are You”

There is this gloomy face

Looking back at me

From this mirror on my wall

Strange looking woman

Wonder who that could be

Hey!!

What are you looking at lady?

Don’t you dare give me that silly look

It looks so bloody familiar to me

Could this be my mother?

Looking back at me

But how can this be

She departed from this life…dead

A very long time ago

You make me feel uncomfortable

Damn it!!

Don’t just stare at me

With that moronic look in your eyes

Say something you old fool

Don’t just sit there watching me

I had enough of this you see

Here take this

This is me see

Sticking my tongue out right at you

What audacity…Cry-key Moses

You did it right back at me

Molly old fart

How could you?

Here take this

Another one for you

You nasty old bitch…do I know you…huh?

You even have bloody eyes just like mine

Who are you?

Could you be me?

Or me you…Gee-wizz have a heart

Images are really mocking me

Shall I run to the ocean?

Or shall I fly to the moon

Or shall I stay and live here

Allowing this old fart

Mocking

Me

Tinka,

I agree with "Jude" - to see who you really are ... an individual with so much to offer the world ... a very powerfully and profound write!!

Blessings my friend,

Robert

Whew! It scares me to see myself looking more like my old man. I see you have some of the same thoughts and put them to paper--well done.

Think of it this way Tinka:

As we continue on Life's Journey,
it is not so much our parent's image
that we take on but the image of God.

A ripened fruit is much more delectable in my humble opinion.

Love & Light,
Joseph

robert has given you some great advice. I've seen the old lady in the mirror too, she is a bit of a bitch isn't she?

Tinka,
This is great! There are many times I made myself cringe
because I'll say something and it sounds just like
my mother. I stand there for a few minutes to make
sure she is not in the room...scares the hell out me! lol!

each individual has their own unique beauty ... allow it to filter through the reflection in the mirror and see the image of who you really are ...

Oh Tinka, This is a poem I can truly relate to.
A very Fun poem of the frustrating things we see (sometimes) looking back at us.
Loved it Tinka,
Thank for the smile!
I'm going to put this one picture and all up on my mirror!
maybe it'll change the image I now see?????

Aside from the fact that I'm sad that you are feeling badly about life these days, I must say this is one of your very best writes...it's chocked full of imagery, dark humor, angst...GREAT JOB Poet!!! Much love and admiration, Michelle

I think you need to look at the brighter side of things; you'd be much happier. (Just a suggestion, mind you...) I have tried being a b****, but it only made my pain worse, and it made me feel worse in the long run; not worth it! Try to look at the good things in life, and look to God; He'll help you in your darkest moments! Try it!

Cute picture, and rant on, baby gurl; I do that myself from time to time! I always feel so much better afterwards!

Love ya!

(((HUGS))) and much love, prayerfully yours, your American friend, Karen Lynn in Texas. :(

uh oh sis! You've got them old mirror blues, when the truth
starts hitting you smack in the face and that really is a horror!
When you start to see your mother! Yikes! However, you'd be surprised how quickly it begins to look better when you accept it;-) Let life happen and enjoy it!

(hugs) and love,
Eileen
