In the soft melodies of the wind
I hear your whisper in the night
I saw you in twilight…
I looked for you at dawn again…
To tell you my hope, dreams and fears
Now the wind more softly breathes
O’ I listen to them at night… and day
Each day… each night…
They whisper to my heart
With a silent shake…call or cry
Steals away the darkness…
Only for the moment…
The stars look down from dusky sky
I wonder what beautiful things they see
As shadows creep across the sky
I hear you whisper in my dreams
Till dawn come back at day
Before the first sunlight beam
The old moon laughed and sang a song
As you rock me on a misty sea
I shut my eyes… thoughts deep
Like drowsy winds
That put the sea to sleep
But at last they went away
Deep within my heart…
Birds sing to the sun
As I weep a golden tear
Till the new dawn appear
To wake me!!
Hi Tink Great poem The typeface is perfect too! It's been a while since we wrote to one another I've been sporadically posting the last few years, I stay here though as my readership is still pretty darn good.
