Nice thoughts. I've found human beings everywhere in this world. Why is it that religions force us to take sides? It's all about land--hallowed ground--that there is no more of, that we fight to the last man for.

Growing hearts... that's coined it!! Absolutely agree with the premise of your poem here, Susan, and the concepts and penmanship is crystal clear. Putting a human face on the phrases of journalism and war changes things in an instant. The world, after all, is a collection of individuals, neither "us" or "them" - just "we". love is universal............

We would find love is universal
Theres nothing more to it
If we make a circle with our hearts

The big blue heart says it all, if humanity could take a lesson from your own book then wars would grind to a halt. You captured this subject so well and shared hope that maybe someday there will be an end to dis---integrated mankind. Good for you Susan, this is special.
