What do I know of sunsets
When it doesn't concern your arms
It sure does get confusing
For sunsets have their charm
Yet witnessing one without you
Can make for an evening's beauty
While with you it is a new shine
It even gets intuitive.
Your visual is of a mango
With colors in orange contrast
Your senses are comfort from lithium rays
Shot out with a beauty attack
Your nerves are then rearranged
Your smile is one... content
All-in-all it's a memorial prelude
For a comfort of soul, I meant.
Yet without you a sunset is a gift from nature
To ease your evening on down
To a sleepy time for man and beast
With heartbeats...the whisper...now
But with you a sunset's a symphony
With colors drawn out real slow
With tangerine flavored budding
From two heart's inner glow.
It's the shadow waltzing profiles
Into the evening shade
Then into the arms of dreaming
That love has proudly made
The sky is blue at morning
When sunsets ease us down
It's timing in nature's beauty
With love it gets ... profound.

to have my love by my side to watch the setting sun has such a warming inside, as to the memory of him once there.
In love or lonliness we see some things differently, and they make deeper impressions upon us and sometimes that makes all the difference. Your words have a presence all their own. Pierre.
I wouldn't have thought the picture could be matched, but if anyone could do it, you could and did. Such beauty in art and verse make this den one to want to stay in! Love the ambiance!
Depending on the frame of mind and heart, indeed, sunsets, and everything else, can be seen differently. There is a beautifully hinted at metaphor in this of arms and the sunset.
"But with you a sunset's a symphony" Now this is romanticism at it's most eloquent Belle.

Sunsets affect most. When I was in Cuba, I was filming the setting sun. A big burley cuban policeman who could not speak my lingo, motioned me. I thought that is the end of that. But nope he opened this gate and we walked along an unused old pier, and mutually enjoyed Gods creation. From a unique view point, even the dolphins seemed to leap in praise...

Yes, with two people bound to each other with love, it is possible to sit and see rainbows in the middle of hurricanes and sunshine at midnight, it is that feeling of total oneness that does it . . . Two people . . . One love.

Oh my Gosh, this is one of my favs of yours..You have that gift of imagery, you and Eileen!!!
Spellbinding Susan in it's romantic offering of love and the beauty of sunset in coparison or perhaps in conjunction with each other. You stun me with the vivid image this created in my heart.
You have painted the sunset in magnificent words that color this poem of love with innate intensity. I don't think there is anything more beautiful than an evenings sky as you have depicted.
