Poem Artwork

The power of love is a funny thing
It runs with horses...their stampede rings
The flash of devotion in eyes that are paired
The dalliance of lovers who just barely dared
Its passions that wing like a Pegasus...proud
Drifting with love on the wings of a cloud
It soars with the Woodstork...it climbs with a whisper
It sticks to the walls like monks and their vespers
It chants and it purrs...it rings in the night
Love gently caresses the wind...the sunlight
Oceans sing volumes with love in the wash
It bleaches old wounds with a healing push
Then kisses away the scars for tomorrow
Love that appears can erase the old sorrow
Trust in this love then give it your heart
Then every new morning is a new start
Caress in the aura of love on display
Thankful of healing and loves passionate array.

Love is the greatest force in this universe Belle - and also the most perverted and misunderstood.

And I too agree with Sir Peter - you do have a nom de guerre now in the Den.

Your friend ...

beautiful melody

you have it here in all manifestations ,the concept of love that is

It soars with the Woodstork...it climbs with a whisper
It sticks to the walls like monks and their vespers

even down to the holy
and natural

those were my favorite lines.......
love can, and should always be celebrated

but most of all revered
and respected

because its the greatest gift of all

Jude identifies the best original lines seen recently...

"(Love)It sticks to the walls like monks and their vespers
It chants and it purrs..."

The next best for me, "...the sunlight Oceans sing volumes with love in the wash...
It bleaches old wounds with a healing push
Then kisses away the scars for tomorrow..."

These are graphic to the point of poignant pain. A most enjoyable bit of suffering, Susan. Sweet and bearablee writine.
