Some people put $$$ amount on everything. This is how they prioritize their lives. It's that sin we all call greed. With love...they never understand why they don't have it when all they needed to do was learn more about giving it away first.

I Must Admit
Susan K.de Vegter
copyright 2006

I see the vision framed in a rainbow of happiness aglow
I feel the nature of the beast regale...ebb to flow
I know that jealousy leaves a void and that love suffers above
All Others
I know that lust is for teens who are growing with their flavors budding
I sense that man lingers far too long among the fruit of loving
The passions that come alive and are richer for the deeper meat
Spins a vortex of dreams to make us complete
I know that to love is emotional fruit to bestow
That for two to find the seed and make it grow
That these are gifted ones above the other's for their push and thought
Becomes a treasure often taught to those who love once forgot
I realize the heart is a powerful muscle and that its versatility is a mystery
I know that to love is a part of all mortal history
The dejavous of passion that spends itself upon a Sunday afternoon
Can come and go if you want but is best adorned, festooned
Upon the bed of treasures that some lust for and forget
For to love is a simple treasure for all... I must admit.

Love is a mystery until you realize that the most important part of it is the giving. Life is a mystery until you realize the most important part of it is the forgiving. Pierre.

"From those to whom much has been given, much is expected." It's too bad so many people will never believe or understand this truth, as they hoard everything they gain -clutching their precious possessions until their last breath, and for what. Love is a treasure that far exceeds any other so called riches. The poet shows us the truth in these lines:
"I know that to love is emotional fruit to bestow
That for two to find the seed and make it grow
.....For to love is a simple treasure for all."
Well done Susan!

In an age of instant gratification, the distinction between love and lust has become very blurred. One could never write of lust in the exotic manner here, only love properly defined and experienced can produce such subliminal writing.

For to love is a simple treasure

And how marvelous when it is found.

Love is like water, difficult to hold onto, quenching thirst and never really gone when evaporated. It often seem that those capable of reaching great depths get least and vice versa. A few scattered drops may keep you from dying, but perhaps it is only meant to let us live long enough to experience places where there is water in abundance. Thank you for creating and sharing,

This poem was simply complete in its substance. Love could not be defined so clear.

Oh my, I'll have to stand my ground here and agree that love is a simple treasure and pity those who feel romance is a thing of the past or a device of the imagination. It's not always the easiest thing to find, and hey, sometimes it grabs you from your blindside, but it most certainly does exist and flourish! Ever the romantic in me! If it were not for the gift of romance, you would never have found the source of this wonderful poem. Great one, Susan...

Nice write Susan. You are the muse of love and reflect on all of it's better and lesser qualities and faults respectively, to me. Keep spinning those golden threads of thought and rhyme. You get the essence every time...
love you,

Why do so many have so much trouble finding the real thing then dear Belle? It is so simple a treasure, as you say, which has been so maligned and perverted in this world by people and greed. {{{Sigh}}}
