Even if it is infinite
I've quested for this heart of hearts
I hear yours' beat this minute
I understand the fear inside
The depth of your apprehension

Has beat through all dimensions
Then if I add that you have lived
Far back...way back in time
Would you think of me a derelict Muse
Just getting words to rhyme
I sense in you this beat so grand
That every move is similar
To the Danube danced in yesterday
Does this seem at all familiar
Can you give me just this memory
Again to hold you close
Listen to your heart near mine
Then have another toast
Lets flow out to the landing
Take in sweet blooming Jasmine
Raise a kiss to yesteryear
Then recall our old imaginings
Let's waltz into tomorrow
With spirits held so tight
Then when you feel as I do
And if it feels all right
Infinity will open up
The prospects of this chance
Then you will be completed
With this never-ending dance
I've missed you for a lifetime
As I flow into your soul
Then tender stars ignite and burn
As steeples start to toll
Will you take up all my dances
And never leave my side
As daydreams blend to night bliss
Can we share the evening tide
The ones that are familiar
From ages long ago
When the waltz of all our dances
Brought together two old souls

For quests are soon a memory

This read irresistibly teased out the romantic in me. I could not help picturing Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in that tight embrace where he is crooning, 'Cheek to Cheek' to her. In spirit, we can sing such a lovely song to the soul of our beloved.
Such a wonderful feeling.

Love the soul mate concept, and finding each other again, what a gift, imagine walking side by side and not recognizing each other, or only one is aware? How sad that would be. Your melody is soothing here, like an intimate whisper......beckoning the other to a dance where the steps are known......and perfected
