Thinking ... merely opining
The mist upon the lake
The way the light meanders
To moods, for goodness sake!
The melancholy wishes
That prance about half heard
Half baked dreams in folly
A jester's grin, absurd
The way a thought can languish
In a hum upon my mind
The distance of a lover
The other part of rhyme
The passions that go loosely
Dive and hang glide here
The budding nerves of recoil
To keep you dancing near
The lake moves in a mystery
Holding on to time
While here my wishes dangle
In minute's deep decline
The mist in dance with fireflies
With vision's gift in kind
The rosy glow of passions
Adrift within my mind .
Susan, yes, a thought can languish...many times I wish I had an on/off switch. I loved the deep thought process in this writing...caused this one to stop and give some thoughts to each line and allow the visions to absorb. I truly enjoyed this.
Wonderful write, Susan; very well penned! Love the graphic!
