Poem Artwork

If for a moment I could wish you here
Eyes half closed with your image there
I'd take your chin into my palms
Embrace your lips, where they belong
If for a second you were in my eyes
I'd relish in love's dear surprise
Then walk you backwards to our bed
I'd cull your desire with need instead
Of letting you disappear to return
Keep you with me as love churns
Then wish again for another dose
You are the sweetness of my thoughts
A wish secure and forever caught
Faith in loving and doses right
I'd wish you again with all my might
Distance makes the heat to seethe
Longing yearns that whisper "Please"
My eyes are squenched to keep you in
My passion wishes you again

....and again!

Shouldn't love be this way...passionately enfolded within the grasp...and expressed within thought...

Susan, this is such a beautiful romantic poem of a lover desiring to be with their true love. You paint an amazing picture of two people in love and sharing it. What could be better?

This sends out waves of love and longing across the miles of air space to the person who so captivates your heart. It is better to love and be loved like this than to make love just for the sake of making love to someone near. Very nicely done dear Susan...

Oh that cosmic link of love
what a passionate poem of yearning, so vivid drawing the line blurred betwen the cerebral and the actual....like a rehershal for the climax. Your poetry must be his seduction and release on a very personal and amazing level....sigh
